Now that it's all official and shit, I can post this unlocked. As of the end of February, I will be out of a job. The doctor I'm working for has decided to retire. After 15 years, I'm back on the job hunt. Ew.
I've already done two interviews, one at a women's center radiology group. I think it would be pretty dirt-simple, and possibly boring as fuck, but I could do it, easily. I'll find out about that in a couple weeks.
The other was at Good Sam (yes, the hospital Grandmom was always at) in the new, state of the art Good Health center. I'd be working for one doctor in the pain management division. *nod* I would kill for this job. It's an awesome center, the benefits are top notch, and it's a 10 minute drive to work, with free parking and a $16/mo gym membership in the gym that's maybe 50 feet from my office. I love it. There would be room for advancement, especially if I do go back to school part time and get my RN. Oh yeah, $3000/yr tuition assistance. So, y'know, fingers crossed on that one. *grin*
*sigh*
It's still killing me a little to think that in just 30 days, I'll be elsewhere. I have 15 years of shit to get out of the office. Ew.
I will say, I apparently am a total anomaly. Everyone just stares when I explain what my duties were here. Like "holy shit, you did all that? How did you get it done?" *snort* I think it's a pretty cushy job, really.
Still most of the jobs I'm looking at are M-F 8-5, which will be AWESOME. I'd love to have weekends again.
